 The Alpha has a secret
« Thread Started on May 25, 2005, 4:54pm »

A image crept close into the lands, her home before her. Pain in her heart, and in her head. She was alone in this world. Her paws padded over the ice covered ground, the once green land was now covered in a thick blanket of white. Her ivory coat shined in the light, and the moon was hovering over the image. She had no name, at least that is what she thought of herself. She came to a halt by a large rocky structure, and then smelled the air. After a minute of taking in the scents of the winter, she stuck her head into the rocky structure and then it was followed by her whole body. As she finally was in, a large gust of wind ripped by it. Snow blurred the vision outside, and she shivered.

Looking around she saw the place was as she left it, it was large enough for two wolves, but it was meant for her mate and no one else. Other dens were all alone the side of the hill and they were covered in thick ivy like this one. The inside was warm, and half way up to your legs it was full of dried autumn leaves she had gathered herself. Lowering onto her stomach she looked out of the small entrance, it was going to be very cold and she didn't know when it would stop. Laying her head on her paws, her nose was filled with the smells of autumn. The autumn when her love was still alive. Her eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away.

The warmth took her in, and she slowly drifted into a half sleep. She wondered if Kyalu was alright. His den was as warm as hers, but smaller. Her tail curled at the tip and she held it close to her body. Opening her eyes she shivered, but she was fine. It wasn't thay cold in this den, but she would be alright. Raising her head she looked out into the blurring snow. It was going to get bad, and she knew it. She hoped the other wolves of the land would be safe, even if they were not part of her pack she would take them in from the cold. No wolf needed to freeze to death.

Boomslang walked into the terra, unknowing of his entry. Finally, a few paces into the land, he sniffed the scent of another wolf and noticed the border. He was about to turn away and head out when he noticed a cave. Slowly Boomslang trotted up to it and peered inside. To his amazement he saw the alpha femme. She was pretty, but he remained his distance. He suspected she had a mate already. She wasn't just a wolf with this rank. Boomslang smiled down, trying to keep quiet. For she was sleeping, for what he thought. Slowly he backed away, now only barely visible through the snow.

Mountain Springs lifted her head, unable to move without a great deal of pain in her shoulder. Her voice was airy, but after a minute of looking at him she let a small smile play at her lips. "Hello there, is there something I can assist you with?" Her paws shifted on the ground, and she turned so she could face him but her body was still on the leaves in the warmth. Her right blue orb and her yellow left orb shined in the dim light. Her whole body was something to look at, and she had an attitiude to match. Her mate was dead, and she was a widow but you couldn't tell by the way she held her head and her dignity,

Boomslang watched her silently. Her words seemed hurt in a way, but so elegant it was almost invisible. The snow fell over the lone wolf as he waited in the snow. His body was completely frozen, you would question his life. He nodded after a few moments. "I am sorry to intrude. It was wrong of me." Hesaid politely, then he took a glimpse of her and smirked. He lifted his head as if in an alpha pose and continued on. "But, I do think it was for the better." he said strongly. He padded up to the femme and gave her a small head bow before sitting at the den's entrance. He was very still and quiet again. His behavior seemed quite strange to a stranger's eye, but quite normal for the known.
